Big 10 Conference Memorial Site: Notable Deaths & Obituaries

The Big 10 Conference (OK, really the Big 12) is the oldest collegiate athletic conference in the United States. Since 1946 the Big 10 champion has met the PAC-10 champion in the Rose Bowl, and Big 10 teams have won more than 240 NCAA championships in all sports. This memorial site was created to pay tribute to all those who've made the Big 10 Conference one of America's most celebrated athletic institutions.

Joseph W. Frost Joseph W. Frost, 89, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center of COVID-19. He was born in Lone Rock, Wis., April 3, 1931, to Joseph and Dorothy (Schmidt) Frost. He graduated from Lone Rock High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
