Adrian Schiller’s legacy
Born in London, Adrian Schiller got his start on the screen in 1992 on the British procedural drama “Prime Suspect,” which led to a series of roles on screen and stage. They include “A Touch of Frost,” “Judge John Deed,” and “Silent Witness.” He also appeared in a 2011 episode of “Doctor Who,” “The Doctor’s Wife,” and the acclaimed 2015 film, “The Danish Girl.”
In 2017, Schiller played Monsieur D’arque in Disney’s live action version of “Beauty and the Beast.” He is perhaps best known for his roles in two historical dramas: the British show “Victoria,” in which he played Cornelius Penge, and the drama “The Last Kingdom,” where he played Aethelhelm. He appeared in 25 episodes of each series.
Schiller also did video game voice work, appearing in several games in the “Assassin’s Creed” and “Castlevania” franchises, as well as “Fable III,” “Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings,” and others. He won praise for his stage work as well, performing at the National Theatre in London, The White Factory at Marylebone Theatre, and many others.
