GLOW and beyond
Mullen began wrestling with GLOW during the wrestling promotion’s first season, in 1986. She wrestled in cutoff jeans and a crop top, a costume evoking stereotypical country girls. Mullen left after the first season of GLOW but returned for season three, wrestling in a tag team with Ursula Hayden as Babe, the Farmer’s Daughter. The original GLOW promotion ended in 1992, but it has seen renewed interest since Netflix debuted their fictionalized version, “GLOW,” in 2017. In the years after she left GLOW, Mullen became an actress, with appearances on TV shows including “Married… With Children,” “MADtv,” and “Renegade.” She appeared in the 1991 video for Van Halen’s “Poundcake.”
