Lurayi starred in “How to Ruin Christmas” as Tumi, who is home for a family reunion as a bridesmaid in her sister’s wedding. The South African series found an international audience, and a second season, “How to Ruin Christmas: The Funeral,” aired in 2021. It was recently renewed for a third season. Lurayi also had a notable role in the British TV series “Wild at Heart” and appeared in an episode of “ER.” She won a Golden Horn Award for her appearance in the popular South African sitcom, “City Ses’la.”
