Chris Gauthier’s legacy
Gauthier’s early performances included the movies “40 Days and 40 Nights,” “Insomnia,” and “Agent Cody Banks.” In the 2003 horror movie “Freddy vs. Jason,” he played Shack, a high school bully who was killed by Jason Vorhees. His other movies included “Riding the Bullet,” “The Foursome,” and “Watchmen.”
One of Gauthier’s first notable TV roles came on the Syfy series “Eureka,” playing Vincent, owner and chef at Café Diem. It was a prominent supporting role across all five of the show’s seasons. While starring on “Eureka,” Gauthier also appeared on four episodes across several seasons of “Smallville,” playing the villainous Toyman, and he played a groomsman in the limited-run horror series “Harper’s Island.” In 2012, he joined the cast of the fairytale drama “Once Upon a Time,” playing Smee from the Peter Pan universe. Most recently, Gauthier had a recurring role on season two of “Joe Pickett.”
In addition to his prominent TV roles, Gauthier also made many guest appearances on such shows as “Dead Like Me,” “Stargate: Atlantis,” “Supernatural,” “Psych,” “iZombie,” “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” and “Charmed.”
