David A. Arnold (1968–2022), comedian and “Fuller House” writer

David A. Arnold was a comedian who wrote for the Netflix revival series “Fuller House” and created the Nickelodeon show “That Girl Lay Lay.”

Entertainment career

Arnold’s stand-up comedy career lasted 25 years and included appearances on “Def Comedy Jam” and “ComicView,” as well as two Netflix comedy specials. His most recent Netflix special, “It Ain’t for the Weak,” was released in July 2022. Arnold was also a popular stand-up comic on Los Angeles stages, including the Laugh Factory and the Comedy Store. He wrote episodes of TV shows including “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” “Bigger,” and “Meet the Browns,” and he was showrunner for his creating, “That Girl Lay Lay.”
