David Gail (1965–2024), actor in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Port Charles

David Gail was an actor best known for his roles in such TV shows as “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Port Charles.” 

David Gail’s legacy 

Gail’s recurring role on “Beverly Hills, 90210” was one of his first big successes. He played Stuart Carson, Brenda’s fiancé, in seven episodes of the show’s fourth season. Gail went on to star in the short-lived shows “Robin’s Hoods” and “Savannah.”  

In 1999, Gail joined the cast of the “General Hospital” spinoff “Port Charles” as the second actor to play Dr. Joe Scanlon. He remained with the show through 2000, appearing in more than 200 episodes.  

Gail’s other TV appearances included “Growing Pains,” “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “ER,” and “JAG.”
