Evan Ellingson’s legacy
Ellingson started his professional acting career in his early teens. His first major role came in the Fox sitcom “Titus,” playing young Titus in flashbacks in several episodes. He landed a starring role on the single-season ABC sitcom “Complete Savages,” playing one of five sons of a single father. Ellingson had a regular role in season six of “24,” playing Josh Bauer, the nephew of Keifer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer.
While he was working regularly on TV, Ellingson also appeared in several movies. Best known was “My Sister’s Keeper,” in which he played Jesse, the brother of a young woman fighting leukemia. His other movies included “Letters from Iwo Jima” and “Walk the Talk.”
Ellingson’s last role before he left the acting world was his most prominent for many TV viewers; he played Kyle Harmon, son of David Caruso’s Lt. Horatio Caine, on “CSI: Miami.” He recurred in the role for 18 episodes over several seasons. Ellingson’s other TV appearances included “Mad TV,” “Bones,” and “State of Mind.”
