Late Comic Career

Grandma Lee (Frances Lee Strong) started her comic career in her 60s after her husband passed away from cancer. She was known for her off-color humor. She reached the finals of America’s Got Talent in 2009, telling People magazine at the time, “All my material is based on the truth.” “I go up there and wing it. But I practiced it to myself. One of my sons will help and time me and say different things.”
