Hank Steinbrenner became more involved in the operations of the Yankees when his father’s health started failing in the late 2000s. Hank was the oldest son of George and Joan Steinbrenner and he was running the baseball club along with his brother and two sisters. Recently, he was more involved in the family’s horse racing and auto racing business.
