Harold Reid was the bass vocalist for the legendary country music vocal group the Statler Brothers.

Statler Brothers legend 

Reid, his brother Don, Phil Balsley, and Lew DeWitt were the members of the Country Music Hall of Fame vocal group the Statler Brothers. The group met Johnny Cash in 1963 and he hired them as his opening act and backing vocal group. They had a big hit in 1965 with “Flowers on the Wall” and many hits would follow. They won three Grammys and numerous top vocal group of the year awards from the Country Music Association. They hosted their own TV variety show in the 1990s.
