Hee Haw

by Legacy Staff

“Hee Haw” was an American television mainstay in the 1970s and ’80s, combining country music, comedy, and old timey nostalgia into a family-friendly variety show. Inspired by “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In,” “Hee Haw” first aired on CBS as a summer replacement for the popular “Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.” Though CBS dropped the show after two years, “Hee Haw” continued for another two decades in syndication. We remember “Hee Haw” with a look back at the show’s talented actors and musicians including longtime host Roy Clark (1933 – 2018).
