Janet Landgard’s legacy
Landgard was in high school when she was cast on “The Donna Reed Show.” She was initially cast for a single episode as Sabrina, but she returned in a different role. Her character Karen was Jeff’s girlfriend, appearing in 11 episodes in the show’s later seasons. She also made an appearance in an episode of “My Three Sons.”
After getting her start on TV, Landgard also had a brief movie career. Most notably, she starred in “The Swimmer” alongside Burt Lancaster (1913–1994). Landgard also had roles in “Land Raiders” and “Moonchild,” as well as in the TV movie “The Deadly Dream.”
