Jay Briscoe (1984–2023), Ring of Honor wrestler

Jay Briscoe was a pro wrestler who was part of the Briscoe Brothers tag team for Ring of Honor (ROH).

Ring of Honor

Born Jamin Pugh, Briscoe began wrestling under his ring name in the early 2000s. He and his brother, Mark Pugh (who wrestles as Mark Briscoe), formed the Briscoe Brothers and became a popular and successful tag team. They joined ROH in 2002 and went on to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship 13 times, substantially more than any other competitors. They most recently retook the title in December of 2022. The brothers were also named ROH Tag Team of the Year three times and Tag Team of the Decade for the 2010s. Briscoe was a two-time ROH World Championship winner. The Briscoe Brothers also wrestled with promotions including Combat Zone Wrestling and Impact Wrestling.
