Jennifer Leak’s legacy
Born in Wales, Leak grew up in England and Canada. Her movie debut came in 1968 with “Yours, Mine and Ours,” in which she played the daughter of Lucille Ball’s (1911–1989) character. Leak’s later movies included “Eye of the Cat,” “The Photographer,” and “The Incubus.”
On TV, Leak had several roles on soap operas. She originated the role of Gwen Sherman on “The Young and the Restless,” a young prostitute who became a nun. She also played Olive Springer Gordon Randolph on “Another World,” Blanche Bouvier on “Guiding Light,” Nurse Klupper on “Ryan’s Hope,” Matron Spitz on “One Life to Live,” and Dr. Hennessy on “Loving.” Leak also made appearances on “Hawaii Five-O” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.”
After leaving the acting world in the 1990s, Leak worked in real estate.
