Longtime NFL reporter
John Clayton started his sports journalist career after college at the Pittsburgh Press. After becoming the Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer for the Press, he moved to the News Tribune in Tacoma, Washington, covering the Seattle Seahawks. He is best known by NFL fans for his time as an NFL reporter for ESPN. He was a popular on-screen reporter at ESPN from 1995 until 2017. He was nicknamed “The Professor,” for his attention to details and statistics. Recently, he was a contributor at Seattle Sports 710 AM.
