Waldroup was a member of a family that makes homemade liquor, or moonshine, in North Carolina. They were featured on “Moonshiners,” a show that dramatizes the lives of Appalachian liquor producers. Waldroup appeared on “Moonshiners” beginning in the second season in 2012 and through season seven in 2018. He made moonshine with his father, as well as branching out into absinthe, scotch, and sake.

We are saddened to hear about the loss of Lance Waldroup, an adventurous distiller who was featured alongside his father throughout the early seasons of Moonshiners. He will be sorely missed.
