Marion Barber III (1983–2022), Dallas Cowboys running back

Marion Barber III was a running back for the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears.

Football career

Barber was the son of New York Jets running back Marion Barber Jr. as well as the brother of Houston Texans safety Dominique Barber. He played college football for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, where he was an All-Big Ten selection in 2003. Barber entered the 2005 NFL Draft after his junior year in college and was selected by the Cowboys in the fourth round. He was a Pro Bowl pick in 2007 and earned the nickname Marion the Barbarian. Barber moved to the Bears in 2011 and played a single season there before his 2012 retirement.
