Police Academy

Marion Ramsey was best known for her role as soft-spoken Officer Laverne Hooks in the “Police Academy” film series. She had a long career as an actress starting well before “Police Academy,” with roles on TV in “Cos” and the variety show “Keep on Truckin’.” Ramsey starred in all six of the popular “Police Academy” movies in the 1980s. Afterwards, she appeared on “MacGyver” and the original “Beverly Hills, 90210.”
