Morocco Earthquake (2023)

More than 2,900 people were killed in an earthquake in Morocco on September 8, 2023. Thousands more are injured. 

The earthquake’s epicenter was 45 miles southwest of Marrakesh, in the country’s Atlas Mountains. The 7.2-magnitude earthquake was the deadliest in Morocco since 1960.
