Paul “Rocky” Rochester was a defensive tackle on the New York Jets’ Super-Bowl-winning team in 1969.

Football Career

Rochester was a defensive tackle on the famous 1969 New York Jets squad that won Super Bowl III in a big upset over the Baltimore Colts. Quarterback Joe Namath of the Jets guaranteed that the AFL team would beat the favored Colts of the NFL. Rochester played college football at Michigan State and played in the AFL for the Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs and his last 6 ½ seasons with the Jets. He was an AFL All-Star in 1961 and retired after the Super Bowl victory.
