Rob “Rabbit” Pitts’ legacy
Pitts came to prominence on the YouTube channel VINwiki, where he became known for his detailed storytelling. His passion for finding and restoring vintage cars shone through there and on his own YouTube channel, launched a few years later when 2018 began. He had a special love for classic pickup trucks and muscle cars. In addition to his social media career, Pitts operated the family business, Pitts Truck Service.
In 2023, “Tex Mex Motors” debuted on Netflix, showcasing Pitts and his partner, Marcos “Scooter” Carrera, as they scouted for used cars in Mexico and brought the vehicles back to their auto shop in El Paso, Texas, where they restored them. Shooting for Season Two had begun when Pitts was diagnosed with stomach cancer.
