A Russian passenger jet has crashed in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 people onboard, according to CNN.
The BBC reports that Egyptian officials said 214 of the passengers were Russian and three were Ukrainian. There were seven crew on board.
Kogalymavia Flight KGL9268 had departed the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh destined for St. Petersburg, Russia but disappeared from radar 22 minutes after takeoff on Saturday, October 31, 2015.
