Savannah Military Cargo Plane Crash Victims (2018)

Nine people were killed…

Multiple news sources confirmed that all nine people on board an Air National Guard C-130 cargo plane died when it crashed near the Savannah, Georgia, airport.

The Air Force said the plane was from the 156th Air Wing in Puerto Rico. The plane was making its final military flight when it crashed. 

“Nine crew members died in the accident, but until their families and relatives are notified, we cannot give their names,” Brig. Gen. Isabelo Rivera said. “Our prayers, thoughts and condolences to the families and loved ones of our aviators.”

Puerto Rico’s governor shared condolences.

“While we are waiting for more information regarding this unfortunate accident, my thoughts and those of Beatriz are with the families of the crew. They will receive our support and that of the National Guard of Puerto Rico in this process,” Gov. Ricardo RossellĂ³ said.
