Anita May “Anna” Wynalda, 66, died May 12 from COVID-19. Ms. Wynalda spent her life serving and providing for others. After earning her degree in nursing, she worked at several different facilities, including the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic in Grandview. Working as a nurse during the day, she also worked overnights at the Walmart Supercenter in Sunnyside. She was widely known in the Tri-Cities area as the “Walmart Lady”. In addition to raising her own children, she also fostered several children with whom she remained close. She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren and friends.
