Carmen Williamson was a former amateur boxer and boxing referee who became the first black boxing referee and judge at the Olympic games when he officiated at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who worked at the Army’s automotive tank division in Warren, Michigan. At age 94, he was three weeks away from receiving his college degree from the University of Toldeo.

Obituary

Carmen Williamson, age 94 of Toledo, Ohio passed away April 8, 2020. He was born May 5, 1925 in Xenia, Ohio and spent his life honorably as a member of the U.S. Navy, a father to five children, and a 33 degree Mason.
