David Boe was an organ professor at Oberlin Conservatory, where he was also dean. He was with the school for 46 years, from 1962 to 2008. He had a long recording and performance career and co-founded the American-Soviet Youth Orchestra. Boe brought the study of ethnomusicology to Oberlin and helped develop the school’s summer programs for younger students.
