Dennis Richard passed away at the age of 79 on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Dennis was born in Basile, Louisiana on May 25, 1940…
Dennis was a very proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the National Guard and the Air Force. He also served as a Deputy and later a Detective for the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Department for many years. He dedicated his life to serving others and helping those less fortunate. He loved working with wood, building bird houses, duck calls and pirogue’s, hunting and fishing.
He could always be found bringing his grandchildren on “adventures”. He loved giving them “true stories” to tell. Nothing ever needed to be embellished when he was around.
