Father Gioacchino Basile was a priest of the Archdiocese of Newark. A native of Calabria, Italy, Fr. Basile had been ministering as pastor of Saint Gabriel Church in the East Elmhurst section of Queens. The 25th anniversary of his ordination was coming later in 2020.
