James Villecco joined the FDNY Bureau of Fleet Services in 2014 and worked as a mechanic in the ambulance repair shop. The FDNY paid tribute to Villecco after his death from coronavirus.
Obituary
James Michael Villecco, 54, passed away on March 28, 2020. Born in Orange, N.J., on April 7, 1965, James graduated from Central Regional High School in Bayville, N.J., in 1984, and also completed Ocean Vocational Technical School with a course of instruction in auto mechanics. After many years with UPS, Jim was offered a position as mechanic with the New York City Fire Department. It was an honor for Jim to work as a mechanic for FDNY; it was there he made his home. He is survived by his wife, Joy, and daughter, Jessica, as well as loving in-laws and three nieces.
