Jimmy Glenn was a legendary New York City boxing trainer and bar owner who ran the famous Times Square establishment Jimmy’s Corner.
Obituary
Glenn was an amateur boxer who once fought Floyd Patterson. He moved on to become a famous boxing trainer, opening the famed Times Square Boxing Gym in the 1970s. Muhammad Ali would train there when in Manhattan. The gym took in many kids from tough neighborhoods, many who became top Golden Gloves boxers.
