Jonathan Adewumi co-owned the Brooklyn restaurant Amarachi, a popular spot for African food. A native of Nigeria who came to the U.S. as a child, Adewumi also co-founded Nigerian Fabrics and Fashions, providing African fabrics and styles to people including Stevie Wonder and Wesley Snipes. He ran the Nigerian Film Festival and created a travel business that introduced African Americans to Africa.
