Karen Ketcher was remembered as a champion of the Cherokee people and their right to self-governance. Ketcher worked in the Community and Cultural Outreach Department of the Cherokee Nation, and was later named Self Governance Director. “Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the passing of our dear friend Karen,” said Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr.
