Landon Spradlin and his wife Jean were full-time missionaries. They were on their way home from a mission trip to New Orleans when Landon collapsed outside a gas station in North Carolina. He was taken to the hospital where he tested positive for COVID-19. He passed away a few days later.

Landon Cecil Spradlin, age 66 of Gretna died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 . Born April 6, 1953 in New Orleans, LA, he was a son of Caroline Holler Spradlin of Chatham and the late Landon Burdett Spradlin. Landon was an Air Force Veteran and the former minister of “The Move” Church of Gretna. He was an avid Blues musician and he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2016. Landon loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

I’m glad I could share some of those times with him. Landon was a light to this world and he will be sorely missed.”
