Leslie Solius Verneret died on March 28, 2020. She was a paraprofessional educator at P.S. 268, Emma Lazarus, in Brooklyn, New York. Leslie lived a life of service, helping those around her in both her professional and personal life. “Her strongest influence on me was her work ethic,” said her son, Stephane Pardo. “She poured her heart into being there for us as a single mother,” he said. Leslie was known by all for being trustworthy, hardworking and dedicated to supporting her students and colleagues.
