Lottie Cornelia Smith was born Dec. 7, 1935 in Cascade, Virginia. She married Finest Adams in 1956 and moved to Syracuse. She lived on her own until November 2020 when she was diagnosed with COVID-19. Though she fought off the virus, she could not beat the complications that came after and passed away Jan. 10, 2021 at the age of 85.
Lottie was “feisty and determined” and continued to do the things she loved — sewing and painting — until Parkinson’s slowed her down. Lottie also was a skilled gin rummy player who occasionally let her opponents win.
