Marie June Skender was a sister at the School Sisters of St. Francis living at Our Lady of the Angels convent in Greenfield, Wisconsin. She had been a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis for 67 years.
She was one of several nuns from the convent to die of COVID-19. The other sisters include Mary Regine Collins, Annelda Holtkamp, Bernadette Kelter, Josephine Seier, Mary Francele Sherburne.

Milwaukee – April 7, 2020. Age 83 years. Survived by her brother Steven(Kathie) Skender of Port Charlotte, FL, her sister Shirley(Richard) Willms of West Allis, WI, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared life for 67 years.
