Mrs. Brown was a longtime faithful servant and member of Second Olivet Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board, Pastoral Care Committee and a member of the Women’s Department. For the past few years, Mrs. Brown exercised her civic duty as an election inspector. She was especially eager to work the polls for this year’s election and made a point to remind family and friends the importance of voting…

Mrs. Brown retired from the Syracuse City School District after more than 25 years of dedicated service. She loved her students and her SCSD family, especially students and faculty at Roosevelt Jr. High School, where she worked for the majority of her career…

Mrs. Brown was there to listen, encourage, and help in her normal compassionate, nonjudgmental nature, no matter the situation. She would always go out of her way to help others and will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love her…

She had a love for reading, travel, and always looked forward to her yearly traveling adventures across country in her luxury premium sleeper on the California Zephyr, while wintering in California. She was also an avid bowler…
