Mike Longo was a legendary jazz pianist who also composed and taught. Known best for frequently partnering with trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, Longo also left an impression as a producer who frequently advocated for new artists to give them exposure. Surrounded by music his whole life, Longo had his first gig while he was still a teenager.
