Michael McIntyre was a consultant for nonprofits who had worked with the YMCA and the Philadelphia nonprofit People for People. An activist who fought for civil rights, McIntyre was especially concerned about opportunities for children. He was also a deacon with Greater Exodus Baptist Church in North Philadelphia.
