Robert Doubet was a jewelry salesman and a U.S. Army veteran. Everybody knew him as “Trigger,” a nickname he picked up as a young dad when he played horsey with his five sons. The kids thought he was like singing cowboy Roy Rogers’ horse, and the name stuck.
