Stephen Sulyk was an archbishop in the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia before his retirement. A native of Ukraine, Sulyk came to the U.S. in the 1940s. He was ordained in 1952 and became a bishop in 1981. He was later a part of diplomatic talks with Ukraine as the Soviet Union collapsed.
