Brad Blackman was a firefighter and EMT with the Swarthmore Fire & Protective Association in Swarthmore, PA. During his 37 years on the job, he held numerous ranks including ambulance captain and was instrumental in developing the company’s EMS program. Recently, Blackman and his partner saved the life of a man who was preparing to jump off a bridge. A “true hero,” Blackman was also an avid bicyclist and participated in the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride honoring EMS providers who died in the line of service.
