Richard Mueller
Richard R. Mueller, 61, of Granite City, Ill., born Aug. 22, 1945, in Granite City, Ill., passed away at 3:48 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Ill.
Mr. Mueller retired from McDonnell-Douglas in 1992, as a supervisor with more than 20 years of dedicated service. He served as chairman of the board with the Mitchell Public Water District for many years and was an active member of the Pontoon Beach Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He will be remembered for the love of his family and the special times spent with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Harriet, nee Luehmann, Mueller; and a brother, James Mueller.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 42 years, Sandra K., nee White, Mueller of Granite City, Ill., whom he married May 8, 1965, at St. Kevin's Catholic Church in Rosewood Heights, Ill.; two sons, Richard Eric (Gladys Marie) Mueller of Pontoon Beach, Ill., and Michael R. (Julie Ann) Mueller of Granite City, Ill.; three grandchildren, Matthew, Jordan and Morgan Mueller; two step-grandchildren, Crissy and Carol Mike; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hailey Loftis; one brother, Gerald (Donna) Mueller of Greenville, Ill.; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Tal Fisk of Edwardsville, Ill.; other extended family and many dear friends.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital or to St. John United Church of Christ and may be accepted at the funeral home.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, Ill., and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2007, at St. John United Church of Christ, 2901 Nameoki Road in Granite City, Ill. A Masonic Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2007, at St. John United Church of Christ, Granite City, Ill., with the Rev. Karla Frost officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Ill.
