Bruce, Nathan, and Heather,
One of my favorite memories on Farmington was Janie teaching us southerners how to make a snow fort! There wasn't anything she wouldn't tackle(remodeling the basement), and nothing she wouldn't do for family and friends. We talked a few months ago at Publix, and she was anxiously awaiting the birth of her granddaughter. Nathan and Heather- how proud she was of both of you. She never failed to speak of you when we were together. May sweet memories & God's love & peace give you comfort during this time.

Janie and I had many adventures in the classroom and our annual field trip to Jekyll for several years at Mt. View. She had a sharp sense of humor and always made it her purpose to become knowledgeable in the areas of our units of study. She was a contributor to many of the units we have used in our classrooms. Her legacy will be with her quilt project involving children's literature and quilts, a long time passion for her.

Janie was always a help to our family. She and Bruce graciously gave from their supply towards so many of our art lessons with children and adults, too. We are finishing up the paper from Bruce, which he gave us for paper marbling, and we use trays and paint pots from Janie. Thanks for sharing Janie and Bruce with us. How much this mother loved her children, and how much we love them both in this neighborhood! May you know this comfort now. Thank you, dear God, for her example on this Earth.

Janie has been a wonderful friend and neighbor. It was her encouragement and willingness to take on the neighborhood quilt project that inspired each of us to complete a block. Seeing the quilt displayed in the clubhouse will be a reminder to each of us of Janie's involvement in Bradshaw Farm. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. You will be greatly missed, Sweet Friend.
