Salomon, Simon age 90, Holocaust survivor and boxing champion, beloved husband of Helen (nee Wendriger), loving father of Dr. Jacob (Gloria) Salomon, Susan (David) Rubenstein and Dr. Bonnie (Michael Kogen) Salomon and the late Jeanne (Dr. Brad) Alexander, cherished poppa of Stacy (Marc) Shinsky, Brian (Lisa) Salomon, Steven Rubenstein, Michael Alexander, Andrew Rubenstein, Jaime Alexander, Jonathan Kogen, great-grandfather of Julia Shinsky. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, 9603 Woods Dr., in Skokie, IL. Service Monday, 12 noon at The Weinstein Funeral Home North Shore Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, IL, 60091. Interment Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights, IL. Though we haven't kept in touch throughout the years, I was truly sorry to learn of Simon's passing. I remember him as a man with stong arms, a great smile, and a loving husband and father who adored his family. May you find strength in each other knowing that he gave you a wonderful foundation for living your own lives.

Dear Bonnie & Family,
I was so sorry to hear about your father. Bonnie, when we were young I remember you telling me how your father was once a boxer in Poland. I have never forgotten his story. He was an amazing man. I hope your family gets comfort knowing others are keeping them in their prayers.

Dear Jack and family,
Morry and I, Harry Frank, want to tell you how sorry we are about the passing of your father, Simon.As you well know our families became friends in Germany in the DP camp and remained friends all those years. Morry and I were always so fond of him as well as the rest of the family. He would always regale us with his boxing history and knowledge of the sport. Whenever we would see or talk to him Archie Moore would echo between us, the former boxing champion who your
father had an affinity for.
