Dr Dharmakirti Bandara PALIPANE

Dharmakirti PALIPANE Obituary

Palipane, Dr Dharmakirti Bandara. Passed away peacefully on 27 August 2025. He is the retired Anaesthetist of Kandy General Hospital, Sri Lanka and Whakatane Hospital, New Zealand. He is the beloved husband of Sunethra, ever loving father of Imani and son-in-law Dilip. The funeral service for Dr Palipane will be held at the All Saints Chapel, Purewa Cemetery, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank, Auckland on 30th August 2025 at 2.00 pm.

My son, Dilip, married Darma's daughter, Imani, in 2019 at Kandy, Sri Lanka, where I first met Dharma. He was a kind, gentle man, and I was very happy to spend more time with the family in Auckland last Christmas.
Dharma was very much loved and will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
