VAN DYKE, George Simon. In Loving Memory  29.01.1940 - 30.09.2025 With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of George, aged 85, on the 30th September 2025. George shared 64 loving years with his wife Elaine. Their marriage was built on deep friendship, loyalty, and joy, creating a home full of warmth and cherished memories. He was a proud father of four children; Michelle, Mary-Jean, Wayne, Wendy and their partners. A devoted grandfather to eight, and a delighted great-grandfather to sixteen. Family was his greatest pride and joy. Known for his warm heart, sense of humour and passion for his local community, George will be remembered for his cheerful whistle, thumbs-ups, and his signature "3 cheers!" A private gathering will be held in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St John Ambulance Services. Forever in our hearts - 3 cheers to a life well lived.
