Tony BROWN Obituary

BROWN, Tony (Brownie). Passed away peacefully on Tuesday 4th September. Cherished husband to Wendy. Dearly loved father to Lesa, Craig and Leanne, Bri and Ants. Treasured grandfather and great grandfather. Special brother to Mike and Sue, Rebecca and Richard, Charles (dec), Paul and Megan, Dave and Paulette. Service/'Final party at Tony Browns' to be held at Omanu Golf Club, 1.30pm Monday 9th September. My lasting memory of Brownie is when he was Club Captain and I needed him to come and make a decision on closing the course as it was so wet.It was a Sunday morning so his car was sitting in the carpark."I'll be there soon" he said and true to his word dressed in gumboots and his pajamas with a bright yellow umbrella to keep him dry he came took one look at the course,closed it and turned around and walked home.
