Andrew FORD Obituary

FORD, Andrew Wilcox. 25.12.1960 - 06.03.2025 Son of Ernest and Sue Ford (both deceased). Treasured and loved husband of Wendy, father of Hugo and Ernie. Beloved brother of Julie Ford, Rosemary Ford and Sally & Josh Barraud. Taken far too early. Forever in our hearts and souls. Andrew has been buried on Waiheke Island and a private service will be held there at a later date.

My name is Rhonez aka Ronnie from Luna Bakehouse.

I am very shocked to hear Andrew Ford has passed away. All my aroha to his beautiful wife and children. Andrew is our gentle giant regular customer/fishing buddy at Luna Bakehouse in Elliot. We would chat about fishing spots, home-brew and just great banter about everything on fishing and home-brewing. Also just everything and everything!

This is a big shock to me personally, as my staff member had told me today. When I just had a moment and just thought of Andrew...that´s when I was told by my staff member(Amy).

Andrew was and will always be the gentle giant and just a great man to have shared his glow and big smiles with that mustache.

I am absolutely saddened by this.

When I am in whaiheke next, I would love to pay my respect to his resting place.

Such a genuine bloke!
We had sone good coffee and beer catch ups talking about all things rugby in the UK, OE, whether Kings or St Kents was the better to School to send my kids. The conversations would go from life, business to family etc. RIL Andrew and appreciate your wisdom during your short time on this earth.
